Erasmus

The Slovak Republic entered the Socrates/Erasmus programme in April 1998.
From 24 Higher Education Institutions (19 public + 4 state + 1 private) 19 public institutions are actively participating in the programme. In the academic year 2002/2003 there were 139 026 students of the higher education institutions (including 1536 foreign students).
During the five years of the Erasmus student mobility more then 2 000 Slovak students traveled abroad. The most popular country is Germany, but student mobility is to all EU countries.

The guide contains information about the higher education in the country and the list of all higher education institutions with the Erasmus contact person.
